 Harley’s actually been doing a ton of outreach and marketing in the past several years to Official Harley Davidson Sammy Hagar Shirt minority and female riders. Way more representation in their ads than most motorcycle brands in order to capture non-traditional riders. I don’t want to cynically write this off as a purely business decision, but having your market being rapidly aging white men is a terrible business model when the motorcycle industry itself is struggling. Their execs know to adapt or die. Fortnite did a good video on this. Comparisons to how honda captured a wider market whereas HD concentrated on a niche and needed government protection to survive.
